Seems like a long time, but today is the start of a new and exciting season!

Renewed optimism and hope beckons for everyone! Who is going to set a marker down for the rest of the season and let everyone know they mean business?

MATCH REPORT

This was a complete performance from the Blues. They were the better team in every department.

Elliot and Martin were a great partnership at the back and it was hard work for the Reds to create chances.

John and Ian knew each others game inside out and linked up beautifully up top. Dim was the central figure in all the Blues play and he set the ball rolling with some fine opening goals to give them an early lead.

The Reds still had quality up front though with Balf and Mike, but they were limited to half chances. Ryan was probably the Reds best player, defending well and bombing forward in support of the attacks. The goals continued to come for the Blues, it seemed they buried every chance which was the complete opposite to the Reds.

Towards the end of the match the Reds pushed further up to try and make a game of it but this lead to an embarrassing scoreline. The Reds were all over the place for the last 30 minutes and the Blues just kept going and going, scoring goals for fun.

It was an easy, dominant win for the Blues. Well played lads! 🔵🔵

MAN OF THE MATCH

Dim was fantastic this week linking up well with his team mates and rarely wasting the ball. Scored some great goals and fully deserves the votes!

Ste had a blinder in nets and it took quality goals to beat him. Made plenty of saves he had no right to save and definately helped make it an easy win for his team. Could have been closer if not for Ste
