MATCH REPORT

The Blues started off like a train and were well on top in the first half. The Reds struggled to defend, particularly facing the sun which was a massive problem.

Shots were not being blocked and saves were not happening. The Blues took advantage off the difficulties and peppered the Reds goal. They were 4-0 up after 20 minutes and it could have been more. Tony, Bennie and Balf were running riot and young Tom was making some amazing runs.

The Reds stopped the rot and started to play better and create some chances but the Blues were still the better team and built up a 5 goal lead.

The Reds decided to give it a real go in the 2nd half by switching a few players. They started to press higher up and started to get a few goals back.

With each goal came more and more confidence, and belief they could snatch a result. Dim and John Jr started to play much better and with only a few minutes on the clock they got a deserved equaliser to finish an incredible comeback.

Tony hit the post with only a few seconds left for the Blues which would have really been a kick in the teeth for the Reds.

But a draw was the result and a fantastic comeback by the Reds!

MAN OF THE MATCH

Tom Mc Jr and Tony both got 3 votes each and are joint MOTM. Tom scored some tenacious goals and defended well. Tony was was at the centre of all good things for his team and scored some cracking goals. Well played lads 💪
