MARCH REPORT
The game definitely had that first game of the season intensity. Everyone was up for it and really wanted to get that first win on the board!
The Blues started really well, knocked the ball around as a team, defended well and scored some cracking goals. Joel and Tom (Jnr) worked tirelessly up from and were rewarded for their work with a few goals each.
The Reds found it difficult to find any rhythm and seemed to lack that pace up front.
A great goal from Ryan with 20 minutes to go seemed to put the game to bed with a big lead over the Reds. But the Reds decided to make a change and John Mc Jnr came out from goal and instantly made a difference. The Reds suddenly had pace up front and lots of space was created for Ian and John Mc Snr to work in. A few brilliant goals from John and a powerful finish from Ian meant the Reds were only a goal behind with 5 minutes to go.
The Blues just about hung on in what was an eventful end to the game. Almost a steal from the Reds but the Blues managed to get the 3 points in a 6-5 win. Roll on the next game!
