MATCH REPORT
Really good game after a few weeks away from the pitch.
Both teams played some decent stuff but Elliot’s wondergoal was the defining moment in this match!
The Blues had built up a 2-1 lead half way through the game with some well worked goals. It was a tough match for both teams in the sun but the standard was really good. Both defences were excellent especially young Tom at the back for the Blues who was superb all game.
The big moment of brilliant in the game then decided the game. Elliot picked up a bouncing ball and flicked it over the defenders head and then bicycle kicked the ball into the top corner. Keeper had no chance, WHAT A GOAL. Definitely a contender for the best goal scored at Sunday Footy. Both teams applauded, absolute scenes.
At 3-1 the Blues were in control. The Reds to their credit kept going but they didn’t seem to click like the Blues. The Reds struggled to get past the Blues defense and goalkeeper. A few more goals for the Blues sealed the win with a consolation goal for the Reds.
Well deserved win for the Blues!
MAN OF THE MATCH
With 8 votes Elliot is the MOTM. He scored a special goal but his workrate and general play for first class. A superb game and another man of the match performance. Well played El!
