A fairly even game which in the end was won just about by the Blues!

Plenty of goals in this game and the Blues certainly scored a few crackers. An brilliant improvised finish from John ended a great team goal for the Blues, then Dim followed it up with a long range rocket into the top corner! 🚀 Great goals!

The Blues managed to get a 4 goal cushion and looked comfortable. The Reds changed things about and put Elliot up front along with Ian and Tony. They pressed high and forced mistakes from the Blues. They got their rewards with 3 quick goals and it was game on.

The Reds hit the post a few times trying to get that equalised and Joel made some fantastic saves, Balf made a brilliant block. The whole of the Blues defence made life difficult.

In the end with time running out the Reds pushed and pushed and were eventually caught out on the counter. The Blues got their win to finish a really good game. Well played Blues! 🔵🔵

A decent start to the season with a close game until the last 20 minutes.

The Blues played some excellent football in parts but couldn’t seem to finish off some good chances.

The Reds grew into the game more and more and they took a 3-2 lead with 30 minutes to go.

The Blues pulled it back and went 4-3 up and you thought they were going to shut up shop and try keep their goal advantage. But the play advantage rule after a foul was committed seemed to cause a few controversial moments, which swung in the Reds favour. Tommy scored with a decent finish to level the match then the Reds quickly went 5-4 up.

At this point the Blues had no option but to push forward to try to score which left plenty of gaps in defence. The Reds with the pace of Elliot and John took advantage of the space left and killed the game off.

A great win for the Blues who will be happy to start the season off with 3 points. Good game lads onto the next one! 🔵🔵🔵

An injury in the first few minutes meant there was a change in teams straight away.

The disruption didn’t affect the Blues performance though as they dominated the game throughout.

Dim hardly had to make any saves in net. Ste, Nathan and Elliot were excellent in defence and hardly put a foot wrong. Paul, John and Tony caused problems all game for the Reds. They really were a well organised team.

The Reds tried their best but unfortunately they didn’t have the pace or support up front to cause any massive problems.

An easy win for the Blues and then it’s over to the votes to decide who’s champion! 👀

With some of the regulars out of action we had to bring in some reserves.

It was a game of 2 halves. First half the reds dominated play making the blues look slow and flat footed. Some great play from balf, joel and John got the reds were up by 4.
The reds look fully in control.

I don’t know what the captain said to the blues at half time when they changed ends but the blues looked like a different team.

With more work rate from the blues and some quality football from Ian and John they started to claw it back.
With Elliot like a man possessed burying everything he hit and some solid defending Suddenly the blues were in the lead and running away with it.

Even with a questionable challenge and late goal by ste it wasn’t enough and the blues took the win by 4.

What a comeback!! Roll on next week and the final game of the season and all to play for.

With all the chopping and changing before the game, it was actually a decent match!

With bigger nets there were plenty of goals to be had and both teams scored some cracking goals.

The main highlights were big Phils return at the back who was outstanding considering the time he’s been out. Although ironically he did pick up a few small injuries 😂

Ste scored a quality long range goal which went in off the post.

But the Blues took control in the 2nd half and created more chances. Ian was the orchestrator and Tony kept finishing the chances.

A good game but the Blues just about deserved to take the 3 points home with an excellent 2nd half performance! 🔵🔵🔵

This was a walk in the park for the Reds!

They were the far better team and clicked a lot better than the Blues who just couldnt seem to get going.

The Reds opened with with an unbelievable goal from John who blasted the ball into the top corner from long range. He set the tone for his game as he continued to make runs causing havoc for the Blues team.

The Blues didn’t help themselves though with a few mistakes which led to more goals for the Reds. The Blues heads all seemed to drop as they couldn’t score and couldn’t break down a solid Reds defence.

More goals for John, Ian and Elliot and the game started getting embarrassing for the Blues.

It finished 7-0 to the Reds who were fantastic! Well done Reds 👏

This game never really got going. Spoilt by a number of injuries there was never really any flow to the game.

Highlights of the match were Nathan’s long range effort which Ste inexplicably saved into his own net, we’ve all been there! 🙈🙈

Elliots injury for the Reds meant they lacked that pace and outlet to attack from, which meant the Blues were comfortable for most of the game despite Al picking up an injury too.

Balf finally found his shooting boots and scored a couple of decent goals. The game finished 8-2 to the Blues but was a game to forget about.

A real high quality game considering the hot temperatures!

This is one of them games where every player put in a decent performance, there were just a few moments of brilliance that decided the game.

The first was the only goal of the game. After making another gut busting run from defence Elliot was found by a classy through ball from Balf. Elliot finally was through against the goalkeeper and scored the only goal of the game to make it 1-0!

The 2nd massive moment on the game came right at the death. Tony blasted a shot which was heading into the top corner but the slightest of fingertips from Andy was enough to tip it onto the crossbar. The ball bounced on the floor and the controversy started. A few Blues players claimed the ball had crossed the line, a few Reds players claimed it hadn’t. The neutral bystander confirmed it hadn’t crossed the line and it remained 1-0!

Great game lads and well done to the Reds for the first ever clean sheet in the leagues 9 seasons! Well done! 🔴🔴
