TEAMS

MATCH REPORT
The teams in this game looked well matched beforehand and so it proved to be for the majority of the game.
The game started with a bang with Bryan shooting from a ridiculous range and somehow it beat the helpless Ste in goal.
Elliot, Dim and Martin were buzzing around the pitch like they normally do and the Blues started off a couple of goals up.
The Reds soon got into the rhythm of the match and leveled it up with some nice play from Ian, Tony and John. But overall both defenses were pretty solid and the goals were hard to come by.
Both teams never really got a stranglehold, as soon as one team scored, the other team bounced back straight away.
The Blues made a switch with Martin going into defense and Balf moving into midfield with 20 minutes to go and this appeared to be the game changer. For some reason the Blues didn’t seem to be as organised, the energy levels dipped and the Reds then took over.
Tony and Ian found more space in midfield and used John up front as the focal point in their attack. Tony was suddenly banging them in from every angle and Reds couldnt keep up. The best goal of the match came from Ian feeding John a lovely ball through the eye of a needle and John finished it giving the keeper no chance.
The Reds were playing some lovely football and made the last 20 minutes look comfortable. The Blues tried to get back into the match but the Reds goalkeeper Ste was in inspired form and blocking everything.
It was a very competitive match for an hour but for some reason the Blues dropped off and the Reds took over and earned the 3 points.
Good game lads some decent footy played!
MAN OF THE MATCH
MOTM with 5 votes is Tony (just popping Ian by 1 vote). His finishing was on point especially in the business end of the game. His work rate was also probably the best on the pitch and was the difference between the two sides. Well played Tony!
Remaining votes went to:
Ian with 4
Nathan with 1
Bryan with 1
John with 1
KEY STATS
Alan remains top of the league with 4 wins from 4 and holds a 6 point gap over 2nd place.

With Andy away gameweek 5 the captains will be Alan and John next Sunday 👍
LEAGUE TABLE

MATCH REPORTNot quite one of the close encounters we have had in recent weeks. It was a cagey first 15 minutes and nobody seemed to want to pull the trigger. 0-0 it remained and eventually the Blues took the lead and from then on they started to play some good football.Tony, Ian and Martin started finding some space and creating some good chances. Alan was also finding some defence splitting balls from the back which were causing all sorts of problems.Ian switched on this week and scored some great goals including a peach of a volley which was the pick of the bunch! The Reds players seemed to struggle this week and couldnt really get a foothold in the match.Dim and Balf were working hard to score some goals but everytime they scored the Blues hit them straight back. The defence and goalkeeper also made it difficult for the goals to flow. They also found themselves losing their cool slightly with some of the contentious fouls being called for. With the Reds rotating keeper as well they found it hard to get a rhythm in the match for long periods. The Blues had a cushion of a few goals for the majority of the match and in the final 15 minutes they turned the screw and got themselves a comfortable lead and they cruised to an easy victory. Was a very good, organised performance from the Blues. Roll on next week!
